CAPE TOWN- South Africa has recorded 10 more Covid-19 related deaths, bringing the total to 75 while infections are now at 3953, a sharp increase of 318.
Health minister Zweli Mkhize made the announcement on Thursday evening.
Mkhize said that to date 143 570 Covid-19 tests have been conducted.
The Western Cape has now surpassed Gauteng with the number of confirmed positive cases. The Cape has recorded 1279 while Gauteng sits at 1252.
The new deaths are from the following provinces:
Western Cape: 6
KwaZulu-Natal: 2
Gauteng: 1
Eastern Cape: 1
