CAPE TOWN- South Africa’s Covid-19 infections have increased by 831 today, bringing the total to 14 355. Fatalities in the country now stand at 259, up by 14.
Health minister Zweli Mkhize said the department is encouraged by the rising number of Covid-19 recoveries which are now at 6 478.
The number of tests conducted are 439 559 with 18 537 done over the past day.
We have screened 10 737 341 citizens, 376 sites iden-
tified for quarantine nationally, 30 823 quarantine beds. Our mortality rate,
1.8%, remains well below the global average of 6.6% and our recovery rate
