CAPE TOWN- Health minister Zweli Mkhize announced that South africa's Covid-19 death toll has now breached the 200 mark bringing the total number of deaths to 206,
while infections surged to 10652.
Mkhize made the announcement during a press briefing in the Eastern Cape on Monday.
As of today the total number of confirmed #COVID19 cases are 10652, the total number of deaths is 206 and recoveries are 4357.

Mkhize said that almost 1 million people have been screened in the Eastern Cape and about 8 million have been screened countrywide.
