34 more Covid-19 deaths, cases at 29 240

CAPE TOWN- The number of Covid-19 fatalities have risen by 34 in South Africa bringing the total to 611, while infections are at 29 240 an increase of 1 837.

Health minister Zweli Mkhize made the announcement during an online briefing with members of the Ministerial Advisory Committee, and other health department officials.

The recoveries to date are 15093, which translates to a recovery rate of 52.4%.
