CAPE TOWN- South Africa has recorded a total of 10 015 Covid-19 infections, an increase of 595, while the number of deaths now stand at 194.
Health minister Zweli Mkhize said that eight more deaths were recorded today, of which three from the Western Cape, four from Gauteng and one from the Eastern Cape.
Mkhize said that the department is encouraged by the number of recoveries which now stands at 4173.
He also however noted that the Western Cape and the Eastern Cape combined accounts for 84% of the country’s cases.
