Ginger Biscuits

In the winter, get your children to eat this amazing treat to help combat any flu-like symptoms.

Ingredients:

• 100 ml Butter

• 125 ml Golden syrup

• 2.5 cup All-Purpose Flour

• 10 g Baking Soda

• 10 ml Cream of tartar

• 25 g Ground Ginger

• A Pinch of Salt

• 2 Eggs

• 300 g Brown sugar

• White sugar

Melt the butter and syrup together in the microwave. Add the eggs and mix. Add the sugar, however allow the sugar to seep into the mixture. Sift flour, baking soda, crème of tartar, ginger and salt with the wet ingredients. Cover the mixture and place in the fridge for an hour or two. After the mixture has cooled, roll dough into small balls, coat each ball in white sugar and arrange on baking trays. Add any décor you would like to the dough and push down with a fork or fingers. Bake for 12 minutes at 180°C, remove the pans from the oven and leave to cool.
