DIY Treats: Vermicelli

This traditional Indian dessert is usually served during different occasions and functions. It is one of the best comfort foods to have on a cold winter day.

Ingredients:

• Vermicelli

• Milk

• Boiled Water

• 2 tbsp Butter

• 2 tbsp Sugar

• Garnish

Place a pot on the stove at medium heat. Add the butter and boil water in a kettle. Take a handful of vermicelli and break the pieces in half and drop into the pot. Repeat if you want more vermicelli. Stir the vermicelli and butter together, until the vermicelli turns golden brown. Add the boiled water to the pot. Increase the heat of the stove and add sugar to the pot. When the vermicelli is soft start to gradually add milk. How thick of weak the vermicelli will be, depends on the amount of milk added. Once the stove is switched off you can add any garnish you would like.
