The outbreak of Covid-19 has shaken things up both internationally and locally with the introduction of lockdowns across the globe.

219 Covid-19 deaths, 12 074 infections

CAPE TOWN- South Africa’s Covid-19 death toll has increased by 13, bringing the total to 219, while confirmed cases now stand at 12,074 an increase of 724.

President Cyril Ramaphosa revealed the latest numbers during his address to the nation on Wednesday regarding the possible easing of restrictions in provinces with low infection rates.

Ramaphosa also noted that recorded recoveries are now at 4,745.
