CAPE TOWN -

In collaboration with the online-based education platform, Coursera, the South African government is offering free online courses for unemployed youth.

Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies, Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams, committed to train one million people in data science and to ensure they take up the opportunities presented by new digital technologies.

“Our intention as the government is to remove as many barriers as possible and enable young people to fulfill their dreams and career aspirations. We, therefore, encourage them to take up these opportunities,” said Ndabeni-Abrahams.
