DURBAN - If a loved one has been infected with COVID-19 and their symptoms are not severe that you would need to take them the hospital. Here is a list of what you need to do to aid their recovery:-

1) Allocate an isolation room

Use the patient’s bedroom as their isolation room so that they remain comfortable when they are isolated. Keep a window open to allow fresh air to circulate throughout the room.

2) Monitor and ease symptoms

Check the patient’s symptoms regularly and record them to have a visual indication of whether the patient is getting better or worse. Keep the infected person hydrated.

3) Keep their things separate

Make sure that their clothes, food and other things that the patient comes in contact with is kept separately from everyone else’s, in order to avoid the spread of COIVD-19. Take extra precaution when washing the things they came into contact with.
