DURBAN - As the National lockdown continues, people are finding more ways to connect with each other and participate in fun activities while physically distancing themselves. There are plenty of apps that allow you to be on a video call with multiple people on it at the same time.

Here are 3 apps that help you connect with your family and friends while in lockdown: -

1) WhatsApp

Video calls on WhatsApp now allow you to have up to 16 people on one video call while you can have up to 32 people on a standard WhatsApp voice call. WhatsApp is available on all app stores.

2) Houseparty

Houseparty is a video and voice calling app that allows users to play games such as general knowledge games, charades, Pictionary and more. You can create a private room to invite your friends to join however you are limited to 8 people per call.

3) Discord

Discord is an app that is mostly used in the gaming community. You can create a private room and invite all your friends. This app allows you to live stream what you are doing on it. It includes video and voice chats and can be used on any device. You can have at least 30 people on a video call at a time. This app can be used while gaming on your smartphone.
