South Africa Cape Town 13 May 2020 Following the devastating COVID19 pandemic and subsequent Lockdown in South Africa as per Government directive, Velokhaya with its partners assisting the needy communities and some of its members and families by providing food parcels for them and greater Cape Flats.Velokhaya Academy members with some of the Velokhaya staff have been conducting the food parcel distribution for sometime at Velokhaya Academy, Khayelitsha, Cape Town and will be doing this next week once more for over 300 famalies. Velokhaya has over 150 participants(Youth) which are predominantly facing food challenges during the lockdown as a number of people in our communities are going without work or an income in the weeks as we lockdown to fight to flatten the curve.
