Watch: 25 million bars of soap for #SafeHands campaign

Cape Town - The Colgate-Palmolive Company has joined WHO's #SafeHands campaign by producing bars of soap specially packaged with instructions to encourage and educate people on how to wash their hands properly.

"We have mobilized five of our manufacturing plants on three continents to produce the new soap, which is specially packaged with instructions on proper handwashing to amplify the World Health Organization (WHO) #SafeHands message. We’re working with partners including CARE and Save the Children to distribute the products around the globe," the company said.

WHO's #SafeHands campaign aims at encouraging people around the world to protect themselves from Covid-19 with the simplest practice of keeping your hands clean with the orginsation looking for all the join and get the message across.

"The campaign has been joined by people from all around the world, including WHO Goodwill ambassadors and footballer Alisson Becker and Natalia Becker, footballer Kylian Mbappe, Rwandan President Paul Kagame, and actress Selena Gomez" WHO said.

Colgate-Palmolive joins the cause aiming to increase awareness for proper handwashing while donating the soaps to those in need.
