CAPE TOWN- 48 more Covid-19 deaths have been recorded in South Africa which brings the total to 2 340, while cases now stand at 124 590, an increase of 6 215.
Of the latest fatalities, 40 are from the Western Cape, and 8 from the Eastern Cape.
Health minister Zweli Mkhize said that there have been 64 111 recoveries in the country which translates to an infection rate of 51.5%.
