CAPE TOWN- Close to 7 000 more Covid-19 cases have been recorded in South Africa on Tuesday bringing the total to 151 209, while the total number of deaths now stands at 2 657, an increase of 128.
Of the latest fatalities, 52 are from the Western Cape, 11 from KwaZulu-Natal, 36 from Gauteng, 25 from the Eastern Cape and 4 from Mpumalanga.
Health minister Zweli Mkhize said that the number of recoveries is 73 543, which translates to a recovery rate of 48.6%.
