CAPE TOWN - MTN's #WeGoodTogether campaign looks to support your local heroes during the Covid-19 pandemic as part of their "Everyday Heroes" initiative.

During the pandemic, South Africa had been introduced to many unforeseen difficulties with many heroes stepping up to support that in-need through various initiatives. MTN has recognised how important the work many local heroes are doing during these trying times and wants to share their appreciation by supporting them and their initiatives.

Throughout June and July, nominations throughout the country poured in with Jacqui O’Sullivan, Corporate Affairs Executive for MTN South Africa saying, "Our campaign attracted the most heart-warming stories from South Africans, recognising those who are making lives brighter through their acts of kindness. In many cases, these heroes are using their own time and money to reduce the hardships being felt by so many."

MTN has already shared their support with many individuals involved in unique initiatives but continues their campaign with many deliveries and surprises still scheduled.

The company wishes to reach out to even more of your local heroes, asking for further nominations and to do so by simply sharing a story on the person on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, tagging @MTNza and including #WeGoodTogether.

“It is heartening to know that the legacy of Covid-19 will not be entirely negative and that for every hero that we have recognised, there are thousands more out there. We trust that our contributions will provide the boost needed to enable these heroes to continue their work. Overall, we hope that the campaign achieved its objective of paying tribute to each and every South African who continues to work tirelessly to make a difference,” says O’Sullivan.
