DURBAN - Since the announcement of the national lockdown extension, the South African Social Services Agency (Sassa) has made it even easier for elderly people and people with disabilities to receive their grants.
The new dates will be in effect from May 4 and 5.
This amendment to the dates is to help elderly people and people with disabilities who are receiving multiple social grants, on the same Sassa card to be allowed to receive all their money at once.
People who are receiving any other grants will be able to do so on the 6th of each month, starting from May 2020.
Beneficiaries are reminded that they will be able to swipe their cards and pay for purchases at any time, once the money is in their account.
